play asia com says a horror movie that deserves more credit than it recieves considering all the trash they pass off as horror from hollywood love it or hate it it s a good flick that s last half hour isn t strong enough to make it a classic darrly and trish decide to take the scenic route home from college because it s spring break the brother and sister soon encounter a dirty menacing truck that tries to run them off the road later they see the truck parked next to an abadonned church and a man throwing some dead bodies wrapped in sheets down a rusty pipe stupidly they decide to go and investigate and see if the bodies are still alive and might need help now they are being chased down by the man in the truck who turns out be a winged demon that awakens every 23rd spring and feeds on human flesh for 23 days i really enjoyed this movie it brought a breath of fresh air and a glimmer of hope into the horror movies coming out of hollywood this movie breaks away from the more common slasher flick with a man in a mask and emulates successfully the monster demon movies more common from the late 70 s and 80 s the acting was great with the two leads making a very believable performance as brother and sister you could feel the chemistry and you believed it the characters developed well and you generally hoped nothing bad would happen to them but they do garner some resentment for stupidly going to investigate the rusty pipe the first hour is generally scary and tense however unfortuantly it all falls apart at the end and makes this movie fall short of being a classic despite it falling apart at the end the previous hour is well worth anyones investment and those who enjoy horror movies casually will enjoy it as a breath of fresh air adam kitano
